Guess whose back, back again! No, I’m not going to start rapping Eminem even though secretly deep down, I desperately want to! I have truly missed writing so I am back! Talking about fashion of course…because, well, it’s my passion😎

Tonight’s topic: Birkenstock’s!!

Oh my goodness! Yes, Birkenstock’s been back in style for a hot, hot minute. So many of my friends wear them! When they first came back out a few years ago, I was like nope, no way I’ll be wearing these hippie sandals! Boy was I wrong!! So wrong!

Quick history lesson behind the athletic sandal. Birkenstock’s came on the scene back in 1963. Karl Birkenstock released his very first athletic sandal with a flexible footbed called Madrid. It soon became extremely popular, especially among gymnasts…crazy right?! In 1966, Birkenstockswere finally introduced in the United States, as well as elsewhere💯💯

My husband recently bought his very first pair for our Cancun trip! He ended up purchasing the camouflaged print ones which looked great on him and matched more outfits than we expected!! He wore the heck out of them! Meaning they looked absolutely 🔥🔥 on him and they actually started to grow on me! He wore them casually to the pool during the day and we were actually able to dress them up at night! He was my inspiration! Funny how these sandals have been around for a very long time and we are just now hopping on the band wagon. Here in Sacramento, we can still wear them for another 2 months because we don’t start getting cooler weather until after Halloween!!

Birks are comfy, cool, and oh so cute! I can’t even wrap my head around all the different styles and color combinations there are. Your girl bought her first pair finally yesterday at Nordstrom!! I started with a neutral brown color to match absolute everything in my wardrobe. The buckles on them are a rose gold color which I am obsessed with!! I wore them yesterday for the first time with my black, Zella yoga pants, a black and white Under Armour Graphic T, and a solid black hat from Target with a rose gold buckle on the back! Topped it off with a black and white Addidas sneaker, my black and rose gold Apple Watch, and a simple delicate necklace! Looked and felt super cute yesterday. I was comfy all day long as well while running errands! Win, win!!

In the end, I am SO glad I have purchased my first pair of Birkenstock’s. I have officially joined the club! Can’t wait to get my next pair already!! Maybe it’ll be the mustard yellow ones or a braided style. Who knows! Officially Team Birkenstock🔥🔥

Hello friends! Hope you all are having a beautiful week so far! I was out shopping today with my Mom between our appointments! Mother, daughter time is always so nice! Of course, we just had to make a little stop at Nordstrom! Nordstrom is one of our favorite stores and is known for having one of the best shoe departments in all the land! It’s any woman’s heaven on earth right?!

There is an AMAZING sandal I want to make sure you ladies know about since summer is upon us! It’s made by Tory Burch and is called “The Miller” Sandal. Click pics to shop or link! This is the #1 selling sandal in the Nordstrom shoe department every summer! No jokes being made!

They come in a TON of different colors and are worth every. single. penny!! Trust me. They last years and are so stinkin’ cute! They have a cushioned insole which make them crazy comfy and a laser cut logo! The leather is soft as butter. My two favorite colors are the black and vintage vachetta! Great neutrals to match absolutely everything. For a little fun try the animal prints or bold colors! In case you are wondering, they run true to size. Talk about a fabulous wardrobe staple for our summer days and getaways!

Well, fancy meeting you here! I hope you all are enjoying your Cinco de Mayo weekend so far! The weather here in Sacramento, CA has been absolutely beautiful!!

As you know, Mother’s Day is right around the corner! Sometimes it can be tough to shop for Mom because it “seems” like she has absolutely everything already! Trust me, she doesn’t! Hello my loves! Hope you all had a fun, relaxing weekend! We have been having some beautiful, spring weather here in Sacramento, CA and I’ve been loving it! So blessed!!

I know…I have been MIA lately! This girl right here was working on renewing her real estate license! I can finally breathe and write again!

Let’s talk hair. One of my absolute fav-or-ite topics! Did you know your hair is one of the first things people notice about you?!

Do you have a hard time trying to manage it due to frizz, fly aways, or damage?! Over the years I have tried SO many different hair products! I want to share with you my favorite products that I’ve been using religiously!

Putting in product while your hair is wet (before you blow dry) is a game changer! Let’s get to it!

Well hello my loves!!

I know I’m not the only one out there who is SO glad Monday is over! Bring on the rest of the work week so we can get to St. Patrick’s Day! One of the most fun, festive holidays there is! It’s always a great excuse to dress up, eat some corn beef and cabbage (YUMMM!) and have a few drinks with friends!

St. Patrick’s Day is this Sunday and you are probably thinking about what the heck to wear! You want to look cute but not cheesy. Trendy yet still comfortable. I have your back ladies! See below for some fashion inspiration. Whether you are going out or just Netflix and chill!

The secrets to bras that actually fit!

Hi loves! Happy mid week to you all!!

I know you are probably counting down the exact minutes to the weekend! I know I sure am! Sacramento’s annual brew fest is this Saturday and I honestly can not wait! It’s always a grand ol’ time with my friends.

I recently casted a poll on my Instagram asking if my lady followers wanted advice on finding bras that actually fit or clothes that flatter for their specific body type. Winner was bras that fit! Let’s get to it. Let’s talk undergarments! They honestly couldn’t be more important! Here’s why…

I want to make this as clear as possible. You can have on the most AMAZING outfit ever. However, if you don’t have proper undergarments as your foundation (especially a well fitting bra and yes underwear is important too) it will immediately take away from any outfit!

Step one: A proper, legitimate bra fitting at Nordstrom in their lingerie department. This will change your life forever sis! You should not want to feel like ripping off your bra by lunch hour! I use to work at Nordstrom and this was the very first department of many I worked in. I absolutely loved it. I felt every day I made a difference in the world. The most common issue is women wearing bras that are too big in the band and too small in the cup! Did you know 9/10 ladies are in the wrong size bra?!

Nordstrom’s policy for becoming bra fit certified was tougher than I ever thought it’d be. My managers would have to check off on any bra fitting for months until I was certified. It was one of the most educational experiences of my life! I have personally fit women for bras who were a B cup all the way to a double J. Nordstrom has a TON of beautiful, quality bras but let me tell you about their variety! They carry anything from push-up bras, to nursing, to plus size, to sports bras, strapless, bralettes and much, much more!

Here are a few tips to make sure you are in the right size bra ladies:

  • Make sure you aren’t spilling right out of the cup or that the cup isn’t too big with excess fabric from the bra.
  • Be positive your straps are in the center of your shoulder not slipping off! Adjust if needed!
  • The front center of the bra should always lay flat against your chest when raising arms straight up. Not pulling away from your body!
  • The bra band should lay in the very center of your back. Not rising upward.
  • Last, wash on delicate in a garment bag and hang to dry!!

When wearing the right size bra you will be comfortable! Look thinner! Have better posture AND your clothes will look phenomenal! 🔥🔥⚡️

Go get that bra fitting! Especially if it’s been awhile, you’ve lost or gained weight, or if you’ve had a baby or two! You can thank me later!

5 quick, easy ways for Women to look polished!💫

Hello my loves! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend enjoying yourselves. Hopefully you had some time to relax, eat some AMAZING food, and spend quality time with the ones you love most!

I want to talk briefly about five quick, simple ways to look polished in less than 30 minutes! Yes, under 30…let’s go!!

1.

Add highlighter to your daily makeup routine to appear you got that 8 hours of sleep!✔️✔️

I can’t tell you how much of an impact this has!! I always swipe on some highlighter to make my face look more vibrant! Love adding highlighter the most to my cheekbones and inner corners of my eyes!

2. Say it with me, MASCARA!!

Best. Mascara. Ever!!

I have been using this mascara for YEARS. I love the wand because it’s so easy to grab every single lash! This mascara is affordable and magical. It thickens, elongates, and adds volume to your lashes! Doesn’t flake either. Win-win!

3. Iron your garments! You heard me! This will make a hell of a difference. If you don’t do this, people won’t take you seriously. Don’t show up to work, church, or to date night looking like you just rolled out of bed! Trust me! Upgrade your iron, use spray starch, and handle business!👔

4. NAILS. You ladies know how serious we all take this very topic. This is one of the very first things I feel people notice about you! Try to get your nails and toesies looking fresh and not chipped! Also remember, it’s totally a-okay to switch up your colors to something fun! You don’t always have to be locked in on the same old color or a french manicure. Boring!! Throw some blue or green polish on for once.

5. Last but not least…denim that fits and flatters your body type!! Have you lost a significant amount of weight and are wearing bottoms that are falling off? They are sagging in the back, not doing anything at all to flatter your backside? Totally not okay!!

I know you are trying to be good by saving money BUT, splurge a little! There are so many places such as Kohl’s and Target that have good denim at affordable prices. Want to indulge? Nordstrom has many brands that I love such as Paige, 7 For All ManKind, and Good American. This Paige jean below you can’t go wrong with!

This is a great staple for ANY woman’s closet!

Fancy meeting you here! Yesterday, I shared with y’all some ideas about what the lovely ladies should wear for this upcoming Valentine’s Day.

I have had a few people ask me, “Alicia, how about a post for all the fella’s out there? What should we wear?” You know I didn’t forget you guys…come on! So, you want to impress your significant other on date night or just want to feel & look your absolute best for the holiday! Let’s do the damn thing!!

Casual-

Tired of always wearing regular blue denim? Switch it up with a black pair!

Vday Tip: Opt for red kicks instead of black!

Love the look of layers and you’ll keep warm!

Semi formal-

Don’t forget to iron your shirt!

**Try to remember to match your accessories. If you are going with brown shoes, flip your belt over to the brown side. A brown, leather watch band would look killer as well!**

Formal-

If you are feeling extra bold, go for a burgundy colored suit!

See how the brown dress shoes just pop with the blue suit? Black shoes would have been too dark!

Never forget to add on accessories! A watch, some bracelets, fun dress socks, a pocket square that compliments well with your tie! Cuff links…the possibilities are endless!

PS: It never hurts my feelings when my husband smells better than me! Go for it🔥
